decodeck ® can easily be installed
and processed with standard timber tools, it does not require for any
specific machinery/tools. Whilst processing decodeck ®, no splintering
or splitting of the decking boards will occur. |
|
Sawing/drilling : decodeck ® can be sawn, the same way as classic wood. It is advised to work the decking boards at a constant speed and to frequently remove excess material. |

| Planing : to remove stains or sratches from the surface of the decking boards, normal sand-paper can be used (always move in the direction of the grooves). | ![]() |
The decking boards can either be fixed with the invisible decodeck ® clip system or the traditional way with standard screws. We advise the use of the decking clip system, since this system allows an easy, accurate (automatic spacing of the boards) and fast installation. |
|
Using joists: Use the decodeck® joists as a support for your deck. Produced from
the same material as the boards, the joists have the same exceptional
properties as the decodeck® boards.
If decodeck ® is installed with its special decking clips, a deck can be realised within no time. More detailed information on support structure, expansion factors can be found in the decodeck® installation guide . Fixing with screws : It is advised to predrill the decodeck ® boards (with the same diameter as the screw thickness), prior to fixing it. This allows the screws to sink a maximum into the decking boards. Always allow sufficient space between the boards for expansion, caused by temperature variations. |
|
| decodeck ® endcaps : To close the cavities of each decking profile, decodeck® boards can easily be fit with decorative end caps, available in all 5 decking colours. The end caps are preferibly fixed using a glue kit. We recommend the Simson 007 (BSR 007), a universal high elastic glue available in most DIY shops. Finishing Profile: The finishing profile - in matching colours - will let you finish a perfect border to your terrace. |
